About Us

Venture Health Check is a joint initiative of the Startup Development Center (SDC) and Vidaho.

Why Venture Health Check exists

Most founders are told to fix their pitch deck. Capital, however, moves on numbers and operational systems it can trust. A venture is ready for investment only when the infrastructure underneath it can withstand institutional scrutiny.

Venture Health Check was built for two kinds of founders.

The founder who is raising, or about to. You want to know what an investor would find before they find it, and to close those gaps while there is still time.

The founder who has been building for years. Revenue may be there, but growth is inconsistent, the business leans too heavily on you, or something feels off, and you cannot yet name it. You need a proper diagnosis: an honest, structured read of the venture across its four engines (Commercial, Operational, Financial, and Governance), practical tools to act on it, and a room of founders who understand the problem. That diagnosis is what makes consistent growth possible, with or without a funding round.

“One day, in person, with practitioners who do this work every day.”
